I'm all about making thoughtful and impactful contributions to create user experiences that truly resonate. 🌟
School
In High School, I earned the Distinguished Athlete Award from the United States Marine Corps for my dedication to the Volleyball Team, highlighting my teamwork skills. As a natural team player, these experiences have shaped my UX design approach, emphasizing collaboration, excellence, and effective communication 💫
My journey to become a nurse was driven by my desire to help people. Balancing two part-time jobs and school, I maintained a strong passion for helping others and found time to volunteer. Despite a busy schedule, my desire to make a positive impact kept me engaged in giving back to the community in a meaningful way
Work
I kicked off my journey in the medical field as a medical billing professional and receptionist. Thanks to my volunteer work and accumulated experience, the director of orthopedics at the nation's fifth-ranked hospital and the top hospital in New York offered me a position in healthcare administration. Notably, during the challenging times of the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak in NYC, I played a crucial role in a collaborative team effort. Specifically, I was chosen to assist senior administrators in setting up and running a COVID testing site for patients requiring emergency surgery, showcasing my dedication to teamwork and problem solving in critical situations.
Discovery of UX Design
Amidst the pandemic downtime and free time from school, I yearned for creativity and serendipitously found my way into the world of UX Design. Following that, I enrolled in a couple of UX Design courses and found myself deeply intrigued by the subject.
